Echeng Iron and Steel, a subsidiary of fellow Hubei-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Company (WISCO), has successfully completed trial manufacture of DCO3 and DCO4 auto sheet, thus filling a gap in the company's auto sheet product range.

This year, Echeng Iron and Steel has placed increased focus on the development of new CR products. There is currently large market demand for auto sheet, a product with high-added value and which is expected to help boost the producer's profits. More than 120 mt of auto sheet produced by the company's cold rolling mill is now being used for tests by Dongfeng Motor Cooperation.
