CSN subsidiary acquires German steel assets

São Paulo, Brazil-based steelmaker Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) announced Tuesday that its subsidiary company CSN Steel SL--located in Spain--acquired all the shares held by Grupo Alfonso Gallardo, SLU in Stahlwerk Thüringen GmbH and Gallardo Sections SLU. The transaction involves the operational assets located in Germany and was concluded in a satisfactory manner.

The total amount of the Transaction amounted to EUR482.5 million (US$631.3 million), under the assumption of zero of indebtedness.
