Corus completes sale of Corus Tuscaloosa
Anglo-Dutch steel and aluminum producer Corus Group Plc has recently announced that the sale of Corus Tuscaloosa to Nucor Corp was completed on July 17, 2004. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, Corus Group Plc and Nucor signed a deal worth $90 million for the turnover of Corus Tuscaloosa to Nucor and the takeover was approved by Federal Trade Commission (FTC), from which Nucor received antitrust clearance. However the completion of the deal was subject to certain authorities. Corus Group Plc has recently announced that with the necessary approvals, they completed the sale of Corus Tuscaloosa to Nucor on July 17, 2004.Corus completes sale of Corus Tuscaloosa
