Continuous caster commences operation at JSPL

Asia's largest and world's second largest sponge iron plant Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) starts operating the two-strand casting machine for beam blanks, rounds for tube production, and blooms for rail production. The order for the construction of this caster was given to Voest-Alpine Industrieanlagenbau (VAI) and its subsidiary VAI India Pvt. Ltd in 2001. The continuous caster now commenced casting beam blanks of beam blanks.
