Construction starts on high carbon ferrochrome project in Inner Mongolia

Chinese company Chengdu Kehan Titanium Co. has started construction work on its new high carbon ferrochrome production project in Fengzhen, Ulaan Chab in China's Inner Mongolia region, as announced by local government officials. The project will have an annual output capacity of 240,000 mt, while the total investment will be RMB 800 million ($125.29 million).

Following completion of the overall project, the annual production value is expected to be RMB 1.6 billion (RMB 250,598 million). The first phase of the project is due to be commissioned in April 2013.
