Cold rolled strip project starts production in Luohe, Henan Province

On January 8, the first phase of a cold rolled steel strip project, whose overall annual output capacity is 650,000 mt, started production in the county of Linying in Luohe city in China's Henan Province, according to the local authorities in Luohe.

Linying Dajiang Industry and Trade Co., Ltd and Hebei Tangshan Zhongtian Iron and Steel Co., Ltd are the investors behind the project, with the total investment in the overall project reaching RMB 230 million ($36.6 million). The project is expected to achieve an annual industrial output value of RMB 1.2 billion ($191 million).

With a production line for the rolling of ultra-thin and ultra-wide steel strip, the output will be used in automobiles, household appliances and construction materials, while the steel strips may also be used in the manufacture of steel pipes.
