Coal transshipments at Russian seaports up 4.7 percent in Jan-Nov

According to the data issued by Russia's Association of Commercial Sea Ports, in the first 11 months of the current year freight traffic passing through the ports of Russia increased by 6.1 percent year on year to 482.1 million mt. During the period in question, the export cargo handled at Russian ports amounted to 371.1 million mt - up 5.4 percent compared to January-November 2009. 

Meanwhile, in January-November 2010, the transshipment of coal through Russia's ports increased by 4.7 percent year on year to 63.36 million mt, while transshipment of ferrous scrap went up by 3.4 percent year on year, amounting to 2.58 million mt.
