Iron ore prices in China continued to move on a declining trend in November, as stated in a new report issued by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) on December 7.
At the end of November this year, the China Iron Ore Price Index (CIOPI) stood at 164.98 points, down 21.36 points or 11.46 percent month on month. In particular, the domestic production iron ore price index stood at 186.13 points, down 13.01 points or 6.53 percent month on month, while the import iron ore price index stood at 159.05 points, declining by 23.70 points or 12.97 percent month on month.
For the whole month of November, the average China Iron Ore Price Index (CIOPI) was at 176.13 points, down 20.80 points or 10.56 percent month on month. In particular, the average domestic production iron ore price index was at 193.42 points, down 8.17 points or 4.05 percent, while the average import iron ore price index stood at 171.26 points, decreasing by 24.36 points or 12.45 percent, both month on month.
