CISA: Chinese domestic iron ore output to rise by 20 percent in 2010

On September 27, Shan Shanghua, secretary general of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), said that iron ore output in China is expected to exceed 1.1 billion mt in 2010, up 20 percent year on year.

According to data published by China's National Bureau of Statistics, in August Chinese iron ore output totaled 99,575,000 mt, up 28.5 percent year on year, while in the January-August period iron ore output amounted to 685.69 million mt, up 28.4 percent year on year.
