Chinese Wuhan establishes new cold rolled mill

Chinese Iron and Steel mill Wuhan Iron and Steel Company's new second cold rolled steel mill has obtained approval from the local authorities. The new mill scheduled to start production in 2005 will have a total annual production capacity of 2.15 million tons. The production line will be the only one capable of producing cold rolled sheet more than 2000mm width in China, and also involves a HDG line. The total capacity will be allocated 1million tons for household appliances, 900'000 tons for cold sheet and 200'000 tons for coated sheet.
