SteelOrbis has been informed that China's finished steel exports decreased nearly 900,000 mt from 5.38 million mt in August to 4.5 million mt in September. Meanwhile, semi-finished steel exports increased from 340,000 in August to 350,000 mt in September.

The strong decline in finished steel exports indicates that the export-restricting policies of the Chinese government have started to show their impact.
