SteelOrbis Shanghai Market sources report that China's export of hot rolled products in April will remain favorable. The hot rolled product exports of leading steel mills will roughly be as follows in April:
Wuhan Steel: 110,000 metric tons
Anshan Steel: 86,000 metric tons,
Tangshan Steel: 60,000 metric tons,
Shagang: 50,000 metric tons,
Baotou Steel: 45,000 metric tons,
Benxi Steel: 30,000 to 40,000 metric tons,
Laiwu Steel: 20,000 to 30,000 metric tons,
Taiyuan Steel: 10,000 metric tons,
Lianyuan Steel: 8,000 metric tons.
Chinese steel mills' export offers keep climbing quickly. SteelOrbis has learnt that the deal prices of Shagang's hot rolled coils are around $500/mt FOB this week for May shipments. On the other hand, some traders stated that not many transactions were concluded after the announcement of price hikes. Traders, who offered $460/mt FOB for immediate shipment for their 3.5 mm and thicker products, could only complete a few deals at this level.
