According to the latest data issued by the
China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), in October this year Chinese auto sales and output were 1.5248 million units and 1.57 million units respectively, down 7.37 percent and 1.99 percent month on month.
In the first 10 months of 2011, total auto sales and auto output in
China reached 15.16 million units and 15.03 million units respectively, up 3.15 percent and 2.66 percent year on year. In particular, the total sales and output of passenger cars rose by 5.86 percent and 5.97 percent respectively compared to the same period of last year, rising to 11.76 million units and 11.75 million units. Meanwhile, commercial vehicle output and sales in
China in the given period amounted to 3.29 million units and 3.4 million units respectively, falling by 7.65 percent and 5.25 percent year on year.
