China’s coal and lignite imports decline by 26.5 percent in October

In the January-October period of the year, China imported 253.155 million mt of coal and lignite, down 8.3 percent year on year, 3.9 percentage points faster compared to the year-on-year decline recorded in the first nine months this year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on November 9.

In October alone, China imported 13.726 million mt of coal and lignite, down 26.5 percent month on month, while decreasing by 46.6 percent year on year.
