According to industry statistics, in 2013 China's common wire rod exports reached 27,274 mt, up 1.02 percent, its hot rolled stainless steel wire rod exports amounted to 84,927 mt, up 17.10 percent, hot rolled alloy wire rod exports totaled 7,892,436 mt, soaring by 43.93 percent, all compared to the previous year.
In the given period, China's total steel wire exports reached 1,843,826 mt, increasing by 3.08 percent year on year. In 2013, China's common steel wire exports came to 1,398,960 mt, up 5.24 percent, its stainless steel wire exports totaled 64,611 mt, up 8.17 percent, alloy steel wire exports amounted to 380,254 mt, down 4.89 percent, all compared to 2012. Total Chinese steel rope exports in 2013 amounted to 856,824 mt, representing a slight increase of 2.01 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in 2013 China's common wire rod imports reached 337,961 mt, up 28.67 percent, its hot rolled stainless wire rod imports totaled 47,600 mt, up 17.02 percent, and hot rolled alloy wire rod imports amounted to 155,244 mt, up 20.15 percent year on year. China's total steel wire imports amounted to 161,762 mt in 2013, increasing by 10.53 percent, including common carbon steel wire imports of 79,250 mt, down 2.10 percent, stainless steel wire imports of 18,579 mt, up 2.72 percent, and alloy steel wire imports of 63,932 mt, up 26.24 percent. China's steel rope imports in 2013 reached 77,097 mt, decreasing by 1.13 percent, all compared to 2012.
