China’s PMI rises to 53.1 in March

According to China's Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP), in March this year the purchasing managers index (PMI) of the Chinese manufacturing sector rose to 53.1 points, rising by 2.1 compared to February. In March, demand revived in the manufacturing sector on the whole, production growth accelerated and enterprises' purchasing activities saw some improvements.
 
In March of the current year, the new order index for the Chinese manufacturing sector stood at 55.1, up 4.1, while the production index of the sector rose by 1.4 to 55.2, both compared to February.
 
In addition, the raw material inventory index of China's manufacturing sector in March saw an increase of 0.7 month on month to 49.5.
