In May this year, China exported 6.883 million mt of finished steel, up 6.3 percent month on month and increasing by 6.1 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on June 8.
In May, China exported 838,000 mt of metallurgical coke, increasing by 3.1 percent month on month and up 13.2 percent year on year.
In the January-May period of the current year, China exported 28.493 million mt of finished steel, down 16.3 percent, while it exported 3.868 million mt of coke, increasing by 13.9 percent, both year on year.
