In August this year, China exported 5.875 million mt of finished steel, down 0.19 percent month on month and decreasing by 9.9 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on September 8.
In August, China exported 788,000 mt of metallurgical coke, decreasing by 3.4 percent month on month and up 71.3 percent year on year.
In the January-August period of the current year, China exported 47.179 million mt of finished steel, down 13.1 percent, while it exported 6.395 million mt of coke, increasing by 21.2 percent, both year on year.
