China's cold rolled coil (CRC) export volume in December last year reached 176,000 mt, up 15,800 mt or 9.85 percent year on year, totaling $160 million in value, up $12 million or 8.4 percent compared with December 2008. Total exports of this product in 2009 reached 943,700 mt, down 2.41 million mt or 71.79 percent, amounting to $862 million in value, down $3.02 billion or 77.79 percent year on year.
The country's CRC imports in December stood at 394,000 mt, up 195,200 mt or 98.21 percent year on year, totaling $346 million in value, up $129 million or 59.33 percent compared with the same month of the previous year. China's total CRC imports in 2009 reached 4.8293 million mt, up 1.048 million mt or 27.72 percent, amounting to a value of $3.581 billion, down $348 million or 8.86 percent year on year.
