China’s CRC imports surge 23.81 percent in Jan-Nov 2009

According to the customs statistics, China's CR coil export volume in November reached 139,600 mt, down 10,400 mt or 6.94 percent year on year, totaling $124 million in value, down $39 million or 24.2 percent compared with the same month last year. The average CR coil export price was $885.84/mt. Total January-November exports for this product reached 767,600 mt, down 2.4172 million mt or 75.9 percent, amounting to $702 million in value, down $3.03 billion or 81.19 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, the country's CR coil imports in November stood at 426,200 mt, up 236,600 mt or 124.85 percent year on year, totaling $332 million in value, up $111 million or 49.99 percent compared with the same month last year. The average import price was $778.17/mt. Total January-November CR coil imports reached 4.43.53 million mt, up 852,800 mt or 23.81 percent, amounting to a value of $3.235 billion, down $477 million or 12.85 percent year on year.
