China’s coking coal imports increase by 34.7 percent in Q1

In the January-March period this year, China imported 16.42 million mt of coking coal, up 34.7 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities. 

In March alone, China imported 6.14 million mt of coking coal, rising by 53.1 percent year on year.
