China’s coke exports down 17.7 percent in January-July

In July this year, China exported 720,000 mt of metallurgical coke, down 34.7 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities. Meanwhile, in July, China exported 30,000 mt of coking coal, down 23.1 percent year on year.

In the January-July period this year, China’s metallurgical coke exports totaled 4.82 million mt, declining by 17.7 percent year on year, while it exported 1.93 million mt of coking coal, up 137.1 percent year on year.
