China’s coal imports up 70.8 percent in January-February

In the January-February period of the current year, China’s coal imports amounted to 60.642 million mt, rising by 70.8 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.  

Demand for coal improved in the given period amid the easing of Covid-19 measures and market players’ positive expectations as regards future economic developments.
