China’s coal imports increase by 13.9 percent in Q1

In the January-March period this year, China’s coal imports amounted to 115.897 million mt, increasing by 13.9 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on April 12.

In March alone, China imported 41.379 million mt of coal, up 22.6 percent month on month, while rising by 0.5 percent year on year.
