According to the data released on June 28 by Beijing-based China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), in mid-June (June 11-20) the average daily crude steel output of the 76 Chinese steel producers which are members of the CISA reached 1,639,700 mt,, marking an increase of 15,600 mt compared with early June (June 1-10) and up 0.96 percent year on year.
As also stated by the CISA, in mid-June China's overall average daily crude steel output reached 1,955,400 mt, an increase of 12,000 mt compared with early June and indicating a month-on-month decrease of 0.67 percent.
Data from China's National Bureau of Statistics had indicated that the country's overall crude steel output in May rose by 7.8 percent year on year to 60.25 million mt.
