China’s average daily crude steel output in mid-December reaches 1,687,000 mt

According to the China Iron and Steel Association on Dec 29, in the mid-December period (Dec. 11-20) China's major large and medium-sized steel enterprises produced 14,220,000 mt of crude steel in total, with an average daily output of 1,422,000 mt, up 17,000 mt compared with early December (Dec. 1-10). Meanwhile, the estimated output of all steel enterprises in China is expected to be 16,870,000 mt in the mid-December period, with an average daily output of 1,687,000 mt, up 20,000 mt compared with early December.
 
In addition, in the combined early and mid-December periods (Dec. 1-20), China's average daily crude steel output was 1,677,000 mt, up by 4.5 percent compared with 1,604,000 mt in the corresponding period of November.
