China’s 2009 crude steel output reaches 568 million mt

On January 21, China's State Bureau of Statistics announced that in 2009 China produced 567.84 million mt of crude steel, 692.44 million mt of finished steel and 543.75 million mt of pig iron, up 13.5 percent, 18.5 percent and 15.9 percent year on year respectively.
