China issues flat product output results for April

In April this year, China increased its output of medium plate by 1.545 million mt or 35.44 percent year on year to 5.905 million mt, with average daily output of 196,800 mt, up by 9,100 mt or 4.82 percent month on month; total output of the product from January to April was 21.83 million mt, up by 4.31 million mt or 24.61 percent year on year.
 
China's April output of hot rolled coil reached 12.096 million mt, up by 4.174 million mt or 52.69 percent year on year, with average daily output of 403,200 mt, down by 4,800 mt or 1.18 percent month on month; total output of the product from January to April was 47.43 million mt, up by 14.847 million mt or 45.57 percent year on year.
 
Output of cold rolled coil in April reached 4.195 million mt, up by 1.232 million mt or 41.58 percent year on year, with average daily output of 139,800 mt, down by 400 mt or 0.3 percent month on month; total output of the product from January to April was 15.83 million mt, up by 5.11 million mt or 47.62 percent year on year.
 
Output of hot rolled narrow strip in April reached 4.85 million mt, up by 1.19 million mt or 33 percent year on year, with average daily output of 161,600 mt, up by 6,300 mt or 4.08 percent month on month; total output of the product from January to April was 17.29 million mt, up by 4.34 million mt or 33.5 percent year on year.
 
Output of coated sheet (strip) in April reached 2.494 million mt, up by 1.07 million mt or 75 percent year on year, with average daily output of 83,100 mt, up by 8,500 mt or 11.32 percent month on month; total output of the product from January to April was 9 million mt, up by 3.67 million mt or 69 percent year on year.
 
Output of electrical sheet (strip) in the month in question reached 454,000 mt, up by 115,000 mt or 34 percent year on year, with average daily output of 15,100 mt, down by 500 mt or 3.27 percent month on month; total output of the product from January to April was 1.81 million mt, up by 550,000 mt or 44 percent year on year.
