Chengde Steel’s vanadium steel plant increases output of quake-resistant rebar

Hebei-based Chinese steelmaker Chengde Iron and Steel Group Co., a subsidiary of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, has announced that in July this year the output of earthquake-resistant rebar at its vanadium steel plant rose by 9.48 percent month on month, exceeding 275,000 mt. Meanwhile, in July the plant's output of earthquake-resistant rebar indicated an increase of 20 percent as compared to January this year.
 
Chengde Steel stated that the steel products in question now constitute a major part of production at the vanadium steel plant, accounting for 82.91 percent of the total output of the plant in July.
