Chengde Steel’s vanadium plant produces 2,258,730 mt of crude steel in H1

According to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of China's Hebei Province, in the first half of the current year Hebei-based Chinese steelmaker Chengde Steel's vanadium steel plant produced 2,258,730 mt of crude steel and 56,000 mt of vanadium slag, respectively equivalent to 102.22 percent and 110.46 percent of the production targets for the period. In the January-May period of the current year, the plant's production costs were down RMB 31.7 million ($4.98 million) from the original predictions.
