Jiangsu Changda Steel is scheduled to commence
production by the end of January at its 2,800 mm medium
plate rolling mill. The new mill, which has entailed a total investment of RMB 500 million, has a planned capacity of 1.2 million mt per year.
Currently, Changda Steel has five
rebar production lines, with total annual
production of about 1.5 million mt. It also has one 550-650 mm continuous casting strip line, which can produce 1 million mt of hot rolled steel strip of various specifications.
