Changda Steel to start production on plate mill by January

SteelOrbis Shanghai Jiangsu Changda Steel is scheduled to commence production by the end of January at its 2,800 mm medium plate rolling mill. The new mill, which has entailed a total investment of RMB 500 million, has a planned capacity of 1.2 million mt per year. Currently, Changda Steel has five rebar production lines, with total annual production of about 1.5 million mt. It also has one 550-650 mm continuous casting strip line, which can produce 1 million mt of hot rolled steel strip of various specifications.
