According to customs data, Canada exported 2.86 million mt of ferrous scrap in the first seven months of 2018. The largest destinations were the US with 1.90 million mt (66 percent) followed by Turkey with 0.49 million mt (17 percent). Canada exported 0.12 million mt (4 percent) to Mexico and 0.35 million mt (12 percent) to other destinations including Taiwan, Brazil, and India in the seven-month period.
