Cag Steel obtains CE certificate

Turkish mill Cag Steel has recently been awarded a CE (European Community) certificate for its merchant bar products. A CE marked certificate is required from September 1, 2006 when a merchant bar manufacturer seeks to sell to the 25 EU and the 3 EFTA member states. CE marking on a product is a manufacturer's declaration that the product complies with the essential requirements of the relevant European health, safety and environmental protection legislation.
