In the January-March period this year, production and sales of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 5.909 million units and 5.934 million units, decreasing by 9.3 percent and 7.6 percent year on year, respectively.
In March alone, production and sales of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 2.446 million units and 2.412 million units, down 5.0 percent and 2.3 percent year on year, while decreasing by 74.8 percent and 57.1 percent month on month, respectively.
In the first three months this year, China’s passenger vehicle exports amounted to 1.921 million units, up 63.0 percent year on year.
In March, China’s passenger vehicle exports totaled 748,000 units, up 27.8 percent month on month, while increasing by 82.4 percent year on year.
