Brazil’s motor vehicle sales decline in November

According to a report issued by Brazilian auto dealer association Fenabrave, in November this year new motor vehicle registrations in the country decreased 9.1 percent month on month, following the month-on-month increase recorded in October. Brazilian new motor vehicle registrations in November were down 10.6 percent year on year, totaling 451,613 units. In the first 11 months of the year, Brazilian new motor vehicle registrations decreased slightly by 1.5 percent year on year to 5,132,967 units.
 
In November this year, Brazilian new car and light commercial vehicle registrations fell 9.14 percent month on month and were down 2.67 percent compared to November 2011 amounting to 297,031 units. In the January-November period of this year, total new registrations in the car and light vehicle segment increased by 6.3 percent on year-on-year basis to 3,290,698 units.
