Brazil's iron ore export volume amounted to 27.25 million mt in July, rising 5.3 percent compared to June this year and down slightly by 0.3 percent compared to the same month of 2011, according to the information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. Brazil's iron ore export value in July this year rose 3.5 percent compared to the previous month and fell by 24 percent compared to the same month of 2011, totaling $2.8 billion.
In July of the current year, Brazil's export volume of semi-finished products of iron and steel amounted to 497,974 mt, decreasing 7.2 percent compared to the previous month and down 21.5 percent compared to the same month of 2011, while these exports were valued at $296.3 million, decreasing 6.7 percent compared to June and down 32.5 percent year on year.
