Brazil's iron ore export value in October this year rose by 10.6 percent compared to the same month last year but was down seven percent compared to September this year, totaling $3.8 billion, according to the information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. Brazil's iron ore export volume amounted to 27.8 million mt in October, with a fall of 7.5 percent compared to September this year and of 7.9 percent compared to the same month last year.
In October, Brazil's iron and steel export volume amounted to 418,400 mt, with a decrease of 28.5 percent compared to the previous month and of 33.6 percent compared to the same month of 2010, while these exports were valued at $284 million, with a decrease of 14.7 percent year on year and down 23.7 percent compared to September this year.
