Brazil’s iron ore export value down 28.2 percent in November

Brazil's iron ore export volume amounted to 32.6 million mt in November, remaining unchanged compared to October this year and up by 2.6 percent compared to the same month of 2011, according to the preliminary information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. Brazil's iron ore export value in November this year was also stable compared to the previous month, but fell by 28.2 percent compared to the same month of 2011, totaling $2.6 billion.

In November of the current year, Brazil's export volume of semi-finished products of iron and steel amounted to 478,650 mt, increasing 6.5 percent compared to the previous month but down 20.1 percent compared to the same month of 2011, while these exports were valued at $240.6 million, decreasing slightly by 0.8 percent compared to October and down 39.4 percent year on year.
