Brazil’s flat steel exports down 6.5 percent in Dec from Nov

According to the preliminary statistics provided by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, in December 2012 Brazil's flat steel exports totaled 208,581 metric tons, rising by 15.8 percent year on year and down 6.5 percent from November. Brazilian flat rolled steel exports was 223,000 metric tons in November 2012, double year on year.

The revenue generated by these exports in December last year totaled $150.8 million, down 4.4 percent from the December 2011 level and down 6.4 percent month on month.
