Brazil’s Ferbasa posts increased net profit in Q3

Brazilian ferroalloys producer Ferbasa’s net profit in Q3 rose 132.4 percent, year-on-year, and 95.7 percent up, quarter-on-quarter, to BRL 149.7 million, the company said while announcing its quarterly results.

Adjusted EBITDA in Q3 was BRL 143.4 million, up from BRL 62 million in Q3 2017, and from BRL 126.1 million in Q2 this year. Net revenues in Q3 totaled BRL 393 million, 12.7 percent up, quarter-on-quarter, and 42.1 percent up, year-on-year, from BRL 276.5 million in Q3 2017.

The company’s ferroalloys sales volumes in Q3 totaled 56,955 mt, down from 61,565 mt in Q3 2017, but up from 51,356 mt in Q2 this year. Ferroalloys production in Q3 this year reached 65,276 mt, 1 percent down, quarter-on-quarter, but 11.3 percent up, year-on-year.
