Brazilian CSN and Usiminas hold talks for consolidation

According to market reports from the industry, it is speculated that Sao Paulo based Brazilian steel producer Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) and flats producer Usiminas are holding talks with a purpose to form the world's tenth largest steelmaking group. In case talks end with favorable result, the group to be formed will have a production capacity of 15 million tons per annum.
