Brazil reduces imports tariffs for certain machines and steel to zero

Brazil’s Chamber of Foreign Trade, Camex, has announced this week it has reduced existing imports tariff on 385 capital goods, to zero, until December 31, 2019.

The products include stainless steel machines, falling under the Mercosur HS code 8418.69.99, stainless steel monobloc machines (8418.69.99), interchangeable tools for cold stamping made out of stainless steel AISI 304 (8207.30.00) as well as certain machines for storing empty or recyclable products made out of steel.

Other products include steel beams S440, DIN EN 10025-2, hot rolled (8431.20.11) and steel beams S460N, DIN EN 10021, hot rolled (8431.20.11).

The decision to reduce the existing tariffs to zero was announced on June 28 by Camex.
