Brazil’s chamber of foreign trade (Camex) applied a provisional anti-dumping (AD) duty over the Chinese imports of high-carbon PC strand, following a probe initiated in July.

According to Camex, the provisional AD duties are valid for six months and include high-carbon pre-stressed concrete (PC) strands with high mechanical strength, containing 3 or 7 wires, low relaxation as well as those falling under the HS code 7312.10.90.

The Brazilian government set a $351.30/mt duty for China’s Silvery Dragon Pre-stressed Materials Co, while Global Overseas Group Co, Tianjin Yuheng Prestressed Concrete Steel Strand Manufa. Co, Tianjin Shengte Prestressed Concrete Steel Strand Co and all other producers should pay a $562.70/mt tariff.

Camex said it found a relative dumping margin of 118.7 percent for all the mentioned Chinese producers.
