BMZ to start rebar sales via exchange

Belarus-based Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) has announced that it will start rebar sales via Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, according to the company’s statement on October 24. The first batch of 1,000 mt of rebar will be sold at the exchange in November.

The key market for sales of rebar 10-32 mm via the exchange will be Poland.

In the January-September period, BMZ produced almost 2 million mt of steel, more than 80 percent of which was exported to 64 countries. The key importers of BMZ products this year were Russia, Germany, Egypt, the Netherlands and Israel.
