BlueScope extends business support contract with Capgemini

Sydney, Australia-based steelmaker BlueScope Steel has extended its existing business support services contract with Capgemini Australia, subsidiary of Paris, France-based provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services Capgemini, until December 2016.

According to a Capgemini press release, the company will continue to manage and deliver human resources administration, payroll, accounting and procurement support services to BlueScope Steel for its Australian and New Zealand business.

Karen Lowe, vice president shared services, BlueScope Steel, said, "Capgemini has worked with us to deliver cost savings during the difficult business conditions of the last two years. The further cost saving initiatives and service delivery improvements we plan to deliver with Capgemini are important to us."
