Big River Steel receives $2 million for Arkansas mill

According to local news reports Friday, the Osceola City Council has approved $2 million in incentives for Big River Steel's planned $1.1 billion mill in northeast Arkansas.

The news comes on the heels of the Arkansas Legislature granting final approval of $125 million in incentives for the mill, incentives that were necessary for the project to progress. Previously, Mississippi County, Arkansas approved $14.5 million in development funds for the project that has promised to create over 525 jobs in the region.
