BHP Billiton increases iron ore shipping capacity

According to recent news in the market, Australian BHP Billiton is planning to increase its annual shipping capacity of iron ore in Western Australia to 150 million tons by 2005. The target for this year is 120 million tons. Moreover, BHP Billiton plans to develop new iron ore mines and increase its iron ore capacity due to strong demand for the subject raw material. It is reported that the company increased its iron ore shipping capacity in Western Australia to 100 million tons in February 2004 from 80 million tons.
