On August 15, Liaoning Province-based Benxi Steel issued its ex-factory prices for September. The details are as follows:
1. HR coils
Prices have risen RMB 100/mt ($13/mt) from the previous levels. As a result, the price of Q235 5.75 mm x 1,500 mm is now at RMB 3,230/mt ($426/mt).
2. CR coils
Prices have been increased RMB 20/mt ($3/mt) from July levels. Following the adjustment, the price of ST12 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm box sheet is at RMB 4,040/mt ($532/mt).
3. Galvanized coils
The ex-factory prices have not changed. Thus, the price of St01Z 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm is RMB 4,530/mt ($597/mt).
4. Color coated
The prices have remained stable from July levels, with the new price of Tst01 0.45 mm x 1,250 is at RMB 5,800/mt ($764/mt).
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective as of August 15, 2007.
