Baosteel’s stainless steel output hits record high in January-October

According to major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel Group, in the first 10 months of 2010 its stainless steel output reached 218,600 mt, marking a new record high for the company.

During the January-October period, Baosteel's average monthly output of stainless steel products was 6,500 mt higher compared with the same period of last year.

As of mid-November, Baosteel's year-to-date output of special steel products (including stainless steel) amounted to 793,700 mt, approximately double the volume for the corresponding period of 2009.
