The first high-strength full hard cold rolled coil has been produced by Chinese steelmaker Baosteel’s new 18-roller single-stand reversible cold rolling line, which is the first reversible cold rolling line in China, as announced by China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC). MCC subsidiary Shanghai-based China MCC20 Group (MCC 20) was responsible for construction of the cold rolling line.

The new cold rolling line, a part of Baosteel’s cold rolling mill 2030 project on which construction started in March 2014, has an annual capacity of 300,000 mt.
